SOUTHERN Mallee Giants topped a big weekend of sport when it held its vote count and presentation day last Sunday at Hopetoun.

As reported in Tuesday’s Herald, midfielder Haydn Drew claimed best and fairest honours after polling 57 votes to win by one vote from forward Kain Robins.

League A Grade joint best and fairest Emma Eebergang added the club’s top award to her season when she polled 52 votes to win from runner-up Amy Walder on 40 votes.

All grades of netball and football were read and presented on the day.
