Lily swims up a storm
WARRACKNABEAL’S Lily Eldridge has once again shown her swimming strength in the Victorian Country Short Course Championships held in Wangarratta on the weekend.
While the weekend did not go entirely to plan due to some issues with her asthma,
she manage to swim several personal bests.
Lily raced over the Saturday and Sunday in which she had seven races to compete in over those two days. On Saturday her first race was the 14-15 years 100 Butterfly and performed a 7-sec PB which saw her come 11th.
In the Women’s open 200m Breaststroke while there was no PB Lily came home in
seventh place. In the 14-15years 100m backstroke Lily did a 2 1/2 sec PB and her last race for that day was 14-15 years 100
Individual Medley and while there was no PB, she came home in sixth place.Sunday Lily only ended up swimming two events, as she had to scratch her 200 IM due to her asthma.
In the 14-15 years 100m freestyle she did a 1/2 sec PB where she came sixth and her last race for the meet was her favourite, the 14-15 years 100m breaststroke. Lily came first in this and also she managed a slight PB. It was great to end the weekend on a high, after
Lily having struggled with he asthma.
Lily now has a busy two weeks of training for the Victorian State Age Championships in Melbourne on Aug. 31st - Sept. 2nd.
