After a shaky start to the day as teams sorted out who was filling in for which team, the late-summer weather ensured a pleasant day of friendly croquet competition was enjoyed.

The matches proved to be surprisingly one-sided.

The Red team made a promising start to the day with captain John Moar featuring in a 7-0 win over the Yellow team.

After that it was all one way with the Yellow team eventually winning by 5 games 35 hoops to 1 game 28 hoops.

Judy Baker, playing for the Yellow team, had a great day, winning all three of her games.

The Blue team, including Leanne Combrink, had a big win, not dropping a single game, to finish on a percentage boosting 23 hoops to 19 over the Greens.

The White team had a convincing win over the Pink side by 5 games 41 hoops to 1 game 24 hoops.

Jan Price featured in Pink's only winning game, while her direct opponent on the White team, Christine Hiscock, enjoyed two good wins.

The autumn competition paused this week due to Easter Monday being a public holiday.
