Playing at Quantong, the Bombers kicked 31.19 (205) to Kalkee’s 5.4 (34).

After a few shots at goal early, Judah Hobbs kicked Noradjuha Quantong’s first goal 10 minutes into the game, and the Bombers then quickly asserted themselves on the offensive end, scoring eight goals to go up 55-0 by quarter-time.

Kalkee managed to get a couple of goals early in the second quarter but were unable to stop the Bombers’ momentum as the home side kicked 10 second-quarter goals.

Noradjuha Quantong maintained control of the game in the second half, producing 46 points and 40 points in the final two quarters to finish 171-point winners.

In a full-team performance, Declan Phyland and Riley Dunlop were two of Noradjuha Quantong’s best, while Andrew Devereaux and Matt Nield impressed for the losing side.

Judah Hobbs led the Bombers with seven goals as Dylan Shelley and Jye Walter each kicked five, while Ben Lawson led Kalkee with two.

Noradjuha Quantong coach Damian Cameron was proud of the team’s performance after their slow start.

“I reckon it probably took about 10 minutes in the first quarter to get moving and I was a bit worried that we were going to make ourselves have a bit of a battle,” Cameron said.

“Once we got into gear after that first 10 minutes, we played great for three and a half quarters."

With the Bombers set to have the first week of finals off, having already cemented top spot, Cameron said a good performance was necessary in their last pre-finals clash.

“Where you finish off now is where you want to start off in your next game, and our next game is a semi-final, so it was pretty important to have a good performance rather than lapse a bit," Cameron said.

The Bombers will play the winner of this week’s qualifying final on Saturday August 30 for a spot in the grand final.
