Burras strengthen nest with key recruits
The depth in the list of their players impacted Minyip Murtoa's finals plight last season, but the club has been working hard to tackle that.

"We have been able to recruit to strengthen that in the off-season," coach Gareth Hose said.
"We have changed a bit in regards to our ball movement and in regards to our defensive structure.
"We were definitely disappointed we didn't make finals last year, felt like we needed to improve across all areas."
The club has recruited well, with Aidan Kidd (South Belgrave), Cooper Anderson (Donald), Dustin Okely (Ararat), along with Jack Boschen and Joe Clancy joining the Burras.
Boschen is no stranger at the Burras, having played for the club previously, and is regarded as a backman with a never give up attitude, while Clancy played last season for Osborne in the Hume Football Netball League.
The club has also retained last season's seniors best and fairest in Kade Petering and Runner Up in Luke Fisher.
"Kade's again had a good preseason and Luke is our coach in the midfield," Hose said.
And while the coach would love to see his team line up in the Grand Final, he's taking it step by step.
"The Grand Final is not our goal immediately," he said.
"Of course, while it is everyone's goal, we have got to make finals first."
