A forum in Horsham next week will offer members of the community the opportunity to raise any police-related issues with senior members of Victoria Police.

Horsham Neighbourhood Policing forum will be held in Harvest Church in Florence Street on Wednesday, between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Acting Inspector Matt Haughton said a Victoria Police panel would answer queries and questions throughout the forum.

Representatives at the forum will include local police chief Superintendent Sharon McCrory, as well as police from Melbourne and across the Wimmera, and local VICPOL management representatives.

Insp Haughton said topics to be explored could include current crime trends and crime prevention, issues involving young people, family violence, road policing and drugs and drug-related crime.

"This is a positive initiative and a first for us, and we hope that people will take advantage of the opportunity to air their police-related concerns," he said.

"We hope to present a rounded and balanced view on issues raised, but also this forum is so we can meet with the community to ensure that we hear their comments."

Insp Haughton asks people planning to attend to register through a QR code found on a flyer on website: Eyewatch - Horsham Police Service Area.

Refreshments will be offered.

The forum is one of a number planned statewide, and replaces the April meeting of the Horsham Community and Police Consultative Committee.
