Council grants window open
Hindmarsh Shire's latest round of community action grants are now on offer.
The application window for round two of this financial year's program opened on December 13 and will continue until 5pm on Friday February 28.
Since its establishment in 2013, Hindmarsh's community action grants have provided community groups and non-profit organisations with funding to host events, buy essential equipment and carry out minor upgrades to facilities.
In the current year, the application process has been amended to streamline the process of preparing and submitting grant applications.
Funding is being offered in three categories: community assistance, event sponsorship and small equipment.
Application documents, guidelines and all other necessary details are available on the Hindmarsh Shire Council website.
Applicants are encouraged to read the guidelines before applying.
The application form can be either downloaded or completed online at www.hindmarsh.vic.gov.au/Apply-for-Grants.
The outcomes will be announced in April 2025.
In September 2024 the council awarded $8003.86 to 10 successful applicants, comprising $3005.86 in community assistance, $1000 to sponsor events and $3997.50 for equipment purchase.
