CropSmart officially opens door in Hopetoun
Farmers in Hopetoun and the beyond can now access broadacre cropping chemicals and fertilisers directly from a central town location, as Crop Smart officially opened in the town.

They were previously operating from a farm, 10 kilometres away from the town, but the new shed is more convenient for the locals and also created four local jobs.
The owner of Crop Smart and its executive chairman, Matt Durden, officially opened the new warehouse at Hopetoun West Road on Tuesday, July 8; however, the business had been operating at the premises since March of this year.
Crop Smart Hopetoun branch manager Rick Johnston said bringing our business to the heart of the town will give farmers a choice.
"It gives a lot of security to the town that Crop Smart are here for the long term, for sure," he said.
"It just gives farmers the options of a couple of different Ag chem resellers in the town. So it just opens up competition, which is great for our clients."
Mr Turner said the response of the locals is impressive, and they are coming to check our products.
"Everybody's really got on board, and we've had a huge amount of our clients come through, check out the products that we've got in our shed here now and see the full lineup of our product range," he said.
"Everybody could see the benefits of having the warehouse in town rather than out of town, and it just makes it better for everybody."
The business now has four employees, including a branch manager, Rick Johnston, a sales representative, Greg Bellinger, and two store men, Travis Salmon and Darryl Hafmaier, at the new shed, which was built and supplied by Hopetoun Bulk Storage.
"We've got three full-time employees here and a part-time employee, so they're four jobs that are in the Hopetoun community," Mr Johnston said.
