Four out of five aint bad
Heather Baxter (Murtoa) had a day to remember last Tuesday, training four winners from five starters at Horsham’s race meeting.

Garry George (Beulah) also tasted success, while Andrea Gurry (Nhill) led a winner in on the club’s extra race meeting held on Thursday.
But it was Baxter and her able assistant Molly Parfett whom stole the show leading in four winners on the Tuesday card.
Guitar Tango speared straight to the front in the first race on the program and was never in danger winning by two and a half lengths to break his maiden in the smart time of 23:34sec.
Let’s Go Out then followed the same script spearing the lids from the inside draw and setting a cracking early split to set up victory by one length in 23:32sec another smart time.
The strong Fleetwood Odin then stepped out over the 485m journey and flew the start from box eight and when he led, they were never going to catch him, Odin cruised to four length victory in a fast 27:12sec.
The final of Baxter’s winners followed the same pattern as her other runner’s early pace, set up a margin and cruise to victory and Weblec Marquise was outstanding in doing so setting a brilliant time of 23:17sec.
Take The Steps for Garry George was then successful over the 410m trip, jumping midfield Take The Steps had to work hard for the lead but was able to push through and take command of the race turning for home and then cruised to a three-length victory in 23:51sec.
Perfect Tonight for Andrea Gurry rounded out the week for local trainers producing a massive come from behind run after finding early bother Perfect Tonight was able to grab the early leaders right on the line and stop the clock in 23:84sec.
It was also a big day for committee member Ian Robinson of Avoca whom trained a winning double on Thursday with Pyrenees Pizazz and Dunach Fireball, while club President Ian Bibby was successful at Mount Gambier with Crymelon Ivy.
