The nine team members, aged between 14 and 17 years, were supported by coach Maddison Cook and assistant coach Ebonie Janetzki as they performed six routines on stage.

Their efforts were rewarded with a Highly Commended for their Freearm routine, while their March, Rods, and Dance Arrangement performances each received Honourable Mentions.

The team will now turn its focus to Horsham’s own 43rd annual Country Competitions, to be held from August 21 to 24 at the Horsham Town Hall.

The event will see teams travel from across Victoria and South Australia, including Mt Gambier, Portland, Warrnambool, Bendigo, Mildura, Echuca, Ballarat and Naracoorte.

Competitions will feature a wide age range, from Sub-Juniors (8–10 years) through to Masters (26 years and over), across both solo and team routines.

A full wrap-up of Horsham’s competition results will be published in next week’s The Wimmera Mail-Times.
