After losing the toss and bowling, Nathan Alexander tore through the Wimmera Mallee top order to have them reeling at 3/9.

Excellent bowling from Tyler Puls 2/12 as well as Baxter Perry, Jeremy Weeks, Chaminda Gamage troubled their opponents with runs hard to come by.

Jimmy Duxson 17, William Marks 14 and Daniel Atkins 12 put up resistance but when Atkins fell, they were 8/70 and in trouble.

Jonty Randall fought hard and with help from Elliott Fitzpatrick and Brady Griffiths, they made it to 131 before Logan Millar finished the innings, trapping Brady Griffiths in front for LBW.

Wimmera Mallee started off well claiming the scalp of Sam Leith and when the dangerous Logan Millar fell and Jeremy Weeks not long after, they were 3/60 and the game was on.

With Bradley Alexander at the crease and an in-form Max Bunworth, they put on a 52 run match winning partnership.

Alexander finished with 74 whilst Bunworth scored 28, ending an excellent week in representative cricket for the young talented cricketer. Chaminda Gamage finished unbeaten on 12 guiding Horsham home in the 33rd over.

Horsham captain Nathan Alexander said the fielding was sensational.

"The ground fielding and catching was the best I have seen in a long time. I can't even recall a misfield," he said.

"Everyone bowled well. They bowled tight line and length and didn't give them the opportunity to score freely.

"The batting by Max and Brad put us in a winning position and we were able to bring it home. Max had a great week for the under 17's and it was good to see him play well in his first senior representative game."

Alexander said everyone enjoyed the match.

"Everyone had some fun and it was good to play alongside players you don't get to play with. It is good to play representative cricket," he said.
