The Man in the Corner: Horsham's ready to rumble
The Man in the Corner is buzzing with excitement this week. Horsham-based MXW is about to host another wrestling show on Sunday, November 30, and the card is stacked thicker than a year-12 maths textbook.
Headlining the night is none other than former WWE star Brian Kendrick, stepping back into the ring to continue his long-running feud with local favourite Ace Shack.
This rivalry has more ups and downs than Natimuk Road.
Their first clash was back in February when Kendrick issued an open challenge.
Ace answered the call… only for Kendrick to win with a cheeky bit of rule-bending that would make even a magpie look honest.
The rematch came right here in Horsham, where the crowd got to choose Kendrick’s opponent. Naturally, they voted for Ace.
Kendrick tried to pull the same shifty trick again, but this time Ace saw it coming and turned the tables. Justice served, Wimmera-style.
Now the saga reaches its climax in a 2-out-of-3 falls match, meaning whoever wins will have to pin or submit their opponent not once, but twice.
Perfect for anyone who likes a bargain: two victories for the price of one ticket.
The night won’t just be about the main event, either. Fans will also see a cast of homegrown talent, including Marco Dal Lago, Demolition Man, and of course, Ace Shack himself.
Head on down to 11 Harriett Street from 1.30pm with the first bout scheduled for 2pm.
