Rainbow P-12 College rewarded students for positive behavior through its Jumpy’s Emporium initiative.

The school’s School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support program encourages students from prep to year-12, to follow core values by offering a structured rewards system.

Coordinator Ella Clarke explained that teachers award students points when they demonstrate the school’s values, including Work Hard, Be Kind, Dream Big and Bounce Back.

Students earn one-point, two-point, or five-point cards, with the highest value for those who consistently meet expectations.

Students visit Jumpy’s Emporium every three weeks to spend their points on toys, vouchers, and other prizes.

Younger students choose small trinkets and toys, while older students prefer vouchers for lunch at the local bakery or cafe.

"We've got a really positive response from the students," Ms Clarke said.

“Students love the rewards. The younger ones enjoy picking out little prizes, while the older ones appreciate the food vouchers, as free food always excites them.”

The initiative reinforces positive behaviour and school values, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.
