The Cougars are currently just outside the top five with seven wins and five losses, but have been one of the form sides of the competition since their statement win against Pimpinio in round eight.

Conversely, Edenhope Apsley are at the bottom of the table but have tested both the Swifts and Pimpinio in recent weeks, both quality top five teams.

Jonno Hicks, coach of Kaniva Leeor, says the Saints are not to be taken lightly.

“Their form against the Swifts was really impressive,” Hicks said.

“Early in that game, they really took it to them.

“We're certainly going to have to make sure we come with a really good attitude and hopefully bring the sort of pressure around the football that we can bring.

“We can’t take anyone for granted at the moment, we haven’t earned that right.”

Hicks also acknowledged that his side has struggled on the road, with a 1-4 record when playing away.

“We've got a block of three away games now and we're going to have to bring our best football,” Hicks said.

“We haven't had the best of times away this year.

“We have some tough games ahead and we really want to finish off our last four grames strongly.”

With the Swifts having a bye this round, a win would lift the Cougars into fifth place on the ladder.
