Kinder fundraiser a comedy success

Comedy talent graced Warracknabeal's Town Hall stage as well-known personalities Dave O'Neil and Des Dowling came to town to help raise funds for Warracknabeal Kindergarten.
Kinder PAG committee member Georgia Hallam said that, although they didn't sell as many tickets as they had hoped, it was still a great night.
"We had a fantastic and varied crowd attend on the night, with plenty of travellers from other towns in the area making the journey to Warracknabeal to see Dave and Des perform," she said.
"Both comedians were fantastic, and spent some time with the crowd before, during and after their performances.
"We had a bar running on the night, and coupled with some huge platters from Lucy Holland's 'The Last Run', attendees were not left wanting whatsoever."
Ms Hallam said a positive response to the fundraiser event.
"A credit to the Kinder PAG Committee for how thoroughly they had thought out the night's proceedings," she said.
With a successful raffle that saw five hamper prizes won, the event raised around $5000 for the kindergarten.
"It will go towards funding some projects that we have had 'on the go' for quite a while as we look to source funding," Ms Hallam said.
"A huge thank you to the brilliant businesses who got behind our fundraising efforts, those who came along and supported the night, or supported us by purchasing a raffle ticket and a special thank you to the parents in the Kinder PAG who worked so hard to make the night a success."
