Local chefs feature at Grampians Grape Escape
COMING up soon is one of Australia’s longest-running food and wine festivals, the Grampians Grape Escape. In Halls Gap from May 1-3, the festival brings together more than 100 exhibitors spanning local winemakers, producers, distillers, brewers and artisans, alongside live music, hands-on experiences and an expanded food program celebrating the Western District’s culinary talent.

At the Grampians Grape Escape this year will be local outdoor-fire-cooking specialist, Tom Ballinger, who will actively showcase how to cook whole animals as a new feature, The Coal Pit. Although he’ll be working throughout the weekend, he will run a headline ‘Coal Mastery’ session on Saturday May 2 at 10.30am.
