Mahoney and Hardman enjoy their experience
Horsham's Josh Mahoney and Tom Hardman finished 11th in last week's Victoria Four-Ball State Final, which was held at the Spring Valley Golf Club and Heritage Golf Club (St John) on Monday, February 17, and Tuesday, February 18.

Mahoney and Hardman scored 78 over the two days. Grampian's duo, Marcus Elliot and Charlie McIntosh, finished in sixth position with 80 points. The winners were Felix Hakins and Ned Rogerson on 88.
Mahoney said it was a good result, considering they only entered for fun.
"It was a good competition run by Golf Australia, and it was good to go down and see different courses and play with different people," Mahoney said.
"The courses were firm and challenging, from fairway bunkers to many water hazards, where I think I lost four balls in half an hour.
"The greens were that fast that you could breathe on the ball, and it would roll, so it took some adjusting."
They shot 37 on the first day and 41 on the second, which Mahoney was pleased with.
"It was more of an opportunity to play on different courses, and if you played well, you would put yourself in with a shot of winning," Mahoney said.
"We scored 41 on that second day, but the winners scored 49, and they were only two ahead of us after day one.
"If you play good, consistent golf and keep scoring points, you can do it, and we had a day where we both kept scoring points."
"Overall, it was a good couple of days and we got to meet different people and talk about the different courses we all came from."
