Man in the Corner
MAN IN THE CORNER: It's that time of the year when football and netball clubs test their new players and systems in friendly practice matches across the Wimmera.

A relatively empty football ground featuring no practice games.
These interleague games, often played against foes from far away, can cause some confusion for players and, in this instance, supporters.
This keen supporter was buoyed by the idea of watching their club take on a league giant from a neighbouring league.
Making good time, they marvelled at their planning prowess.
However, when they arrived, the ground was empty; the game was at the opponent's home ground, some 96 kilometres away.
Fortunately, this unlucky supporter was able to catch the final quarter of the footy before making the long trek home again.
