Mellington shoots to win
The Warracknabeal Gun Club held it's monthly shoot on Saturday in ideal conditions.

The first event of the day was the 40 target single barrel championship.
The overall winner was A Grade shooter Peter Mellington of Horsham with a score of 38/40.
AA Grade saw two shooters, Mark Newcombe and Chris Jorgenson, both shoot 38/40.
After a quick shoot off, Jorgenson shot three-from-three to claim the grade 41/43, one shot above Newcombe.
B Grade was won by Jayden Newcombe of Horsham with a score of 37/40 ahead of Warracknabeal's Barry Erhardt with 33/40.
C Grade also saw a tie after 40 shots, with Ryan Sluggett of Hopetoun and Doug Harris hitting 32/40.
A shootout was won by Sluggett.
The second event of the day was a 40 target double barrel cash divide.
Mark Newcombe earned a perfect score of 40/40 in AA Grade, with Jorgenson one shot behind with 39/40.
AA had equal winners with Patchewollock's Eric Yetman and Hopetoun's Wayne Sanders both shooting a perfect score of 40/40.
Jayden Newcombe claimed his second win of the day in B Grade, hitting 38/40, closely followed by Russel Black of Warracknabeal and Lucas Hallan of Hopetoun with 37/40.
St Arnaud's Dennis Hannigan and Horsham's Doug Harris took out the C Grade with scores of 37/40.
