Mothers Day - Wimmera Hospice Care
Wimmera Hospice Care Auxiliary members are busy again with their chrysanthemum sales to celebrate Mother's Day with the vibrant blooms and raise money for Hospice Care.

Gardens around Horsham are blooming on cue to make sure the volunteers have a ready supply for their sales in the Horsham Plaza from Monday, May 5, to Friday, May 9.
"We sell the chrysanthemums for $15.00 a bunch," President Lea Crammond said.
"Please bring cash as we can only take cash due to the lack of WiFi to operate our card facilities."
"On May 3 and 4, we'll be picking and stripping the flowers ready for bunching and selling.
"It's a lot of work, but we have a great group, even though we are small in numbers, we have a lot of fun doing it," she said.
Through out the year the members regularly water and care for the plot of chrysanthemums at the Community Garden to add to their supply.
"Jennie Mitchell has been wonderful. She grows them every year, and we can just go and pick them when we need them.
"A lot of people grow them for us too, and without them we could not do this every year," she said.
Ms Crammond said while their group is small in numbers, they work hard and people in the community volunteer when needed, without joining as a member due to their already busy commitments.
"We have these wonderful people that tell us to call if we need extra people-power at an event or something like that, and they come along and help," she said.
"And we get our husbands and friends involved, too."
Last year, the group raised $4,500 for Hospice Care and has its sights set on that or more this year.
The Hospice Care members will be at the Horsham Plaza with gorgeous bunches of chrysanthemums from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 9, just in time for Mother's Day, and help raise valuable money for people in hospice care.
