Music fills the air
Strong winds didn’t deter a large crowd who came for the second year of Carols at the Oasis last Sunday night.

A great start was had with a BBQ cooked by the Lions Club and drinks served by the Scouts, it was a good time for a festive catch up.
Children’s activities led by Karen Koning were enjoyed with decorations to take home.
Once again the weather decided it would be an indoor event and the room was full.
The evening was led by Pastor Lucas Matuschka with music provided by local keyboard legend Wayne Nitschke.
Music filled the air with the community singing and highlights included involvement of local students who shared the Christmas story, “Bethlehem Town.”
This was organised by Margaret Mellington, and a great hit.
The students were also involved in a Nativity Tableau during the singing, wearing costumes beautifully created by Kate Hutson.
The children were also involved in adorning the Christmas Tree while Rev Susan Pearse introduced the meaning of each decoration.
All who gathered would have returned home knowing the story of the first Christmas and God’s love to the world.
The Combined Churches of Rainbow wish to thank all who gets invovled to make the evening what it was, and all who came to show their support.
