Naylor cruises to daily stroke win
A crisp winter’s morning set the scene for the third round of the Warracknabeal Golf Club Women’s Club Championships and a stroke round, sponsored by Schulz Plumbing.

With 20 dedicated players taking to the course, the competition was fierce and the quality of play reflected the calibre of this long-standing championship.
Marlene Naylor claimed the top honours for the daily stroke event sponsored by Schulz Plumbing with a score of 106-36-70 nett, narrowly edging out Kerry Oulton, who finished runner-up with a strong 99-27-72 nett on a countback from Casey Phelan's 85-13-72 nett.
In the nearest-the-pin competitions, the Warrack Hot Bread 5th was won by Janice Midgley, the Power & Bennett 7th was taken home by Casey Phelan and Wendy Hewitt had a great shot to win the Rural Northwest Health 13th.
