Music lovers from across the region gathered to hear Luedecke’s signature banjo playing and storytelling before his performance at the Port Fairy Folk Festival on the weekend.

Originally from Toronto and now based in Nova Scotia, the award-winning folk artist has built a loyal following with his playful, narrative-driven songs.

Oasis Rainbow president Ben Gosling said the night was a resounding success.

All 70 seats were filled, and the crowd sang along throughout the performance.

“A room full of people engaged with the music, and the atmosphere was incredible,” Mr Gosling said.

“Most attendees came from Rainbow and Jeparit, but we also had visitors from Mildura, Patchewollock, Hopetoun, Warracknabeal, Nhill and Inglewood.

“Some had even attended past events in Rainbow.”

Mr Gosling said the audience appreciated the effort behind the event and left with a positive experience.

“The singer enjoyed connecting with the crowd and experiencing the town’s hospitality,” he said. “He loved performing for such an attentive audience.”

Mr Gosling thanked everyone who attended and praised Luedecke for delivering a memorable performance.

He also confirmed that The Oasis Rainbow will host more events yearly.
