BASKETBALL star and Warrack-born Chloe Bibby has recently signed to the Perth Lynx where she will continue her stellar career as one of Australia’s premier basketballers.

BASKETBALL star and Warrack-born Chloe Bibby has recently signed to the Perth Lynx where she will continue her stellar career as one of Australia’s premier basketballers.Bibby, aged 24, will be joining the team for the upcoming 2022/23 season of the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL)."I'm excited to be coming back to Australia and playing for the Perth Lynx," Bibby said."I've got family in Western Australia, and with the Lynxs' recent success and great program history, it just felt like the right fit for me."Ryan has got a great group of talented players together, and I'm excited to be a part of that this season."Lynx Head Coach Ryan Petrik said Bibby was a versatile and elite talent."Everyone knows Bibby is an elite talent who can really shoot it, and that's huge in our system," Petrik said."But what we really like is that she can also floor it, switch it on D, rebound it, come off screens or set them herself, or post it up."We know Chloe's versatility can go a long way."The Perth Lynx are eager to begin the new season with Bibby on the side.The Perth Lynx roster for the upcoming season so far is Lauren Scherf, Amy Atwell, Alex Sharp, Jessie Edwards, Sami Whitcomb, Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard, Emma Gandini and Bibby herself.Bibby is currently signed at the Kilsyth Cobras, playing alongside Perth Lynx Scherf.As a Cobra Bibby has averaged 19 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists.As previously reported in the Warracknabeal Herald, Bibby returned from a five-year stint in America, playing college basketball as a student at Mississippi State and the University of Maryland before returning home.Prior to America, Bibby had found success on Australian soil, competing in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) on the Bendigo team and in the Women's National Basketball League as a Dandenong Ranger.In 2017 Bibby was selected to represent Australia in the U19 National Team at the FIBA World Cup in Italy.
