Golden Eagles Dinner sold-out
The prestigious Golden Eagles Dinner has sold out due to high demand.

THE prestigious Golden Eagles Dinner has sold out due to high demand."It's been a good response, (the tickets) sold out pretty quick, it just shows we've got the right speakers," Warracknabeal Football and Netball Club President Zane Jess said.Mr Jess believes a large part of success of the event is in the guest speakers."You don't get (many events) like this in country towns like Warracknabeal. This is part of people's memberships, if they pay for a Golden Eagles membership this is more or less their night," he said.Mr Jess said approximately 115 tickets were available to purchase and sold out quickly."(This) will be one of the biggest (crowds)," he said. The two guest speakers, Netball star Kate Beveridge and AFL legend Robert "Dipper" Dipierdomenico, will both present a speech to the attendees."(Dipper and Ms Beveridge) will be talking about they got to where they (are) and the path they had to take to reach an AFL level and elite netball level (as well as) what they're doing now," Mr Jess said.Robert "Dipper" Dipierdomenico is a now-retired football player who played in the Australian Football League (AFL) as a Hawthorn member for 17 years.During that time he was a five-time premiership player, three-time member of team of the year, a Brownlow medallist and an Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee.Dipper is now a prominent personality in the AFL world and regularly appears as a panellist and host on sport programs. He also recently made an appearance on "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me out of Here."Recently retired netball star Kate Beveridge also had a career that spanned 17 years as an elite netballer.Ms Beveridge debuted as an Australian Diamonds team member in 2008 and has competed in Australia and New Zealand.Ms Beveridge is a past player of West Coast Fever, the Melbourne Vixens and the Adelaide Thunderbirds. The Golden Eagles Dinner will be held at 7pm on July 12 at the Anzac Park Warracknabeal Community Centre.Mr Jess said attendees will be seated at 7:15 and dinner, consisting of a main meal and a dessert, will follow shortly afterwards.Multiple raffles will be held during the night including fuel vouchers, wines and Warrack Eagle merchandise. The Golden Eagles Dinner has been held for over thirty years and has continued to grow in success and popularity.
