Jump in COVID-19 cases for Wimmera
The Wimmera has recorded 62 new COVID-19 cases.

THE Wimmera has recorded 62 new COVID-19 cases as rapid test positives are also now allocated to local government areas.
In the Horsham municipality there were 24 new cases reported, taking the total active cases to 147 on February 8.
In the Northern Grampians 16 new cases were recorded, taking the total active cases to 108.
Seven new cases were recorded in Hindmarsh for a total of 33 active cases, with Yarriambiack recording 57 total active cases after 14 new cases were recorded.
In the West Wimmera there were two new cases recorded, with the total active cases at 23.
Across Victoria 2569 new cases were recorded through PCR tests and 7216 Rapid Antigen Test positives were recorded in the 24 hours prior to 12pm, February 8.
There are currently 575 people hospitalised for COVID-19 in Victoria, and in the last 24 hours 20 deaths of people aged in their 70s, 80s and 90s were recorded.
Overall there are 58,449 active cases in the state.

The Wimmera Health Care Group drive through testing service on Read Street, Horsham with the entry on Arnott Street is open 8am to 11am daily.
The Horsham Respiratory Clinic is open for COVID-19 testing on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 5pm, Tuesday from 9am to 5pm, Friday from 9.20am to 5pm, Saturday from 10am to 1pm and Sunday from 9am to 12.20pm.
