They married in that time, and the last night before he had to return to war, she asked him to wake her in the morning."But she didn't know that he couldn't bear to wake up and say goodbye. She wakes up to the echo of his feet down the street, and that's the end of the film."The musicians were accompanied by trombonist and composer Ellie Lamb, a talent in their own right, who led the Melbourne International JazzFestivals Take Note program in 2021.Ms Lamb performed a piece from their own original composition. The composition was written during lockdown in Melbourne, where they explored both their musical and transgender identities.Attendees were wine and dined by the Jeparit Hindmarsh Hotel, with special catering provided for the event.
