Warracknabeal police are seeking public assistance following an incident with a parked vehicle, resulting in approximately $2000 worth of damage.

Police believe that the damage was caused between 4.30pm and 11.30pm on Saturday to a white Holden parked in the rear of Taylor's Palace Hotel.

Police believe a vehicle has attempted to park beside the white Holden and has allegedly made contact with the Holden where rear and front driver’s side doors join, causing a hole in the back door roughly the size of a 50-cent piece and a crease through the driver's door.

The suspect allegedly left the scene with knowledge of the accident and has not contacted the owner of the Holden or left contact details.

It would cost approximately $2000 to replace the two doors of the vehicle damaged.

Police are currently viewing CCTV footage from the area of the incident but are asking people to contact Warracknabeal Police on 5396 2100 if they witnessed any suspicious vehicular behaviour.
