Rod Run weekend a great success
Rumbling engines filled the town as hotrods cruised into Horsham last weekend for Old Skool Hotrod and Custom Club's Hot Summer Nights Rod Run.

Co-ordinator of Hot Summer Nights Rod Run Old Skool Hotrod and Custom Club Donna McDonald said they had a great weekend with the weather turning out perfectly.
"We had 155 cars registered and there were some cars turned up that didn't register and joined in with the cruise Saturday night and the show and shine on the Sunday," Ms McDonald said.
Saturday morning saw 82 cars take part in a cruise to The Stick Shed, Murtoa, before coming back to Horsham for lunch at Horsham Sports and Community Club and the White Hart.
"We had high numbers for meals so we had to spilt them over the two venues," Ms McDonald said.
The cruise down Firebrace Street on Saturday night saw both sides of the street filled with Rod Run cars as well as locals and visitors who enjoyed watching the cars go by.
Sunday saw the participants show off their vehicles at the show and shine at Sawyer Park near the Wimmera River.
"It was a great success with cars and spectators," Ms McDonald said.
She said the whole weekend came with plenty of positive feedback from those who registered and the community.
"It is great to have this event in Horsham and its good for the town," she said.
