Royal Far West in Rainbow again
Royal Far West CEO Jacqui Emery will visit Rainbow and Jeparit on March 24 to meet with local families, educators, and community leaders.

She aims to strengthen partnerships and expand vital developmental health services for the country’s children.
Royal Far West (RFW), a not-for-profit organisation, provides speech pathology, occupational therapy, and psychology services to children in rural communities.
To bridge the gap in healthcare access, RFW delivers a hybrid model of virtual and in-person support, ensuring children in remote areas receive essential care.
In 2024, RFW partnered with Rainbow P-12 College to launch a virtual care pilot program.
This initiative combines two annual outreach visits with year-round virtual care for children, parents, and educators.
Last year, the program supported 16 children, eight parents and carers, seven educators, and two schools.
“The success of this pilot program highlights the value of integrating virtual care with in-person support,” she said.
“By combining these methods, we can offer comprehensive care that meets the unique needs of children in remote areas.”
During her visit, Ms Emery will meet with local stakeholders to discuss the program’s impact and explore opportunities to expand services to more schools.
She will also strengthen partnerships with the By Five Wimmera Southern Mallee Early Years Initiative, which supports early childhood development in the region.
For over 100 years, Royal Far West has ensured that geography does not limit children’s access to critical healthcare services.
“We are proud of the positive impact our work has had on the children and families in the Wimmera region,” she said.
“Our ongoing commitment to these communities ensures that all children, regardless of their location, have access to the healthcare services they need to thrive.”
