Fun for the holidays

From July 7-18, the Hindmarsh Shire Council is hosting a myriad of sessions in Dimboola and beyond bound to create fun for the holidays.

Mayor Ron Ismay said he was looking forward to seeing a sea of youth enjoy the activities across the two weeks.

“We’re proud to offer such a fun, creative, and inclusive program for young people across Hindmarsh,” he said.

“We encourage families to get involved, try something new, and make the most of these fantastic local opportunities.”

Cr Ismay encouraged families to book early to avoid disappointment as some activities may have a limited number of spots available.

For those looking to unleash their creative side, the Dimboola library is also hosting painting workshops on July 7 with youth councillor Matilda.

Looking for something cute and cuddly? Tiny Goats and Co are holding two small group sessions on July 9; spaces are limited, so book early to secure a spot.

Unwind that afternoon in Janelle’s yoga session from 3.30-4.30pm.

Budding artists can mould their vision with three different pottery sessions on July 15 at 103 Lloyd Street. 

Young people can get hands-on with some science sessions at the Dimboola Library on July 16.

Across the shire, there are also movie sessions in Nhill on July 11 and 18 with 'How to Train Your Dragon' and 'Elio' on the big screen from 1pm.

Get in the zone with Level Up Gaming at the Jeparit Town Hall on July 14from 12-4pm.

Burn off some energy on July 16 with badminton at Rainbow’s MECCA, with sessions for primary and secondary aged participants.
