The final score was Swifts 17.14 (116) to 13.6 (84).

The win means the Swifts remain in the top five and strengthens their position for the finals with just five rounds to go.

But it was Natimuk who got the best of the Swifts early on, with William Taylor leading the way, scoring two goals in the opening term.

The Rams kept a slight lead midway through the second before the Swifts kicked a flurry of goals late in the term to enter halftime up 59-43.

A hard-fought third quarter saw the Swifts enter the final term up 77-58, before a six-goal final quarter effort from the home side saw them close out the game as 32-point winners.

The Swifts were led by dominant performances in the midfield from Angus Murray and Brett Hargreaves in the ruck.

Jordan Motton continued his fine goalkicking season for the Swifts, kicking five majors, while teammate Liam Scott booted four of his own.

For Natimuk, William Taylor and Oscar Miller performed admirably in the loss.

Adrianne Lupton led the Rams with five goals, with Taylor chiming in with three of his own.

The loss keeps Natimuk in eighth, leaving them needing to win the remainder of their games for any hope of a finals appearance.
