Trifecta complete at Rainbow
On Wednesday August 13, the day after another lovely drop of rain, Rainbow golf course sparkled in the sunlight and the scrapes were magnificent.

It was nicely fluffed up and scraped to perfection, and five intrepid ladies came to compete for the last round of the club championships.
Unfortunately, at the end of the day the scores were unprintable for two of the quintet.
On the course this week we saw a lone kangaroo and on one sand there was an errant caterpillar we had to wait for as it slowly traversed the scrape before we could putt.
Debbie stormed home with 98-22-76 to take out another championship.
Lynne was not quite hot on her tail but a force to be reckoned with next year if she can manage a full season.
Lynne’s score for the day was 100-21-79.
Helen came in with 121-33-88 and Pam scored "*@#%^&" and Joy made "*$@&%".
Over three rounds Debbie had 294 off the stick and Lynne managed to card 302.
Debbie also took out the nett prize with 234 and Lynne was again runner-up with 242.
We wish last year's champion Fay Martion a speedy recovery and hope to see her at the golf club again soon.
Then on Saturday Helen and Debbie played off in the final of the singles knockout – a match that could have gone either way.
But Debbie came in as champion here too, finishing the match on the 16th hole.
It wrapped up a trifecta to Debbie this year.
We will all be trying hard to take at least one if not two or three of these trophies away from her in 2026.
There are not many weeks to play now and captain Debbie has started organising the end-of-season day trip.
Watch out, Warracknabeal, as I believe that is where we are headed.
