Warracknabeal edges Rainbow in tight Friday-night clash
Round 5 of the Dimboola District Tennis Association began Friday night, with Rainbow hosting Warracknabeal.

Friday night kicked off with six women and five men from each side taking the court.
Due to this, the women played a singles game during the mixed. In the mixed it was a close contest with each side taking 3 sets, but Warracknabeal getting the point winning 12 more games than Rainbow. Warracknabeal 3 sets, 44 games to Rainbow 3 sets, 32 games.
Warracknabeal. Rainbow 4 sets, 37 games to Warracknabeal 1 set, 34 games.
In the women’s, it was Warracknabeal too strong, only dropping the one set and conceding 23 games.
Warracknabeal 5 sets, 53 games to Rainbow 1 set, 23 games.
Overall Warracknabeal won the night with 4 match points, 9 sets and 131 games to Rainbow 1 match point, 8 sets and 92 games.

Saturday saw only one of three games taking place. With Hopetoun forfeiting to Dimboola and Arkona forfeiting to Jeparit.
In the only Saturday game for the round, Antwerp travelled to Brim. In the mixed, Antwerp was too strong winning all the sets and keeping Brim to 23 games. Antwerp 5 sets, 45 games to Brim zero sets, 23 games.
The Women’s and Men’s sections saw some great games and a close contest with only a few games splitting the teams. In the Women’s Brim won 3 sets, 34 games to Antwerp 3 sets, 45 games. In the Men’s Brim won 2 sets, 25 games to Antwerp’s 2 sets, 29 games.
Overall, it was Antwerp who won the night claiming all five match points, 10 sets and 119 games to Brim zero match points, 5 sets, 82 games.
