World Day of Prayer
The 2025 World Day of Prayer will focus on the small group of islands in the Pacific Ocean, the Cook Islands and the daily lives of the Polynesian women and girls.
Painted by a Cook Island woman, this image is featured in this year's World Day of Prayer.
Join World Day of Prayer, a global ecumenical gathering each year, and in 2025, people will be in prayer and action for peace and justice for the women of the Cook Islands.
Hosted by St Marys Church, each church will provide a reader for the service, with the readings provided by the Cook Islands women.
The collected funds will be donated to assist a specialist welfare programme for the women and their children.
Everyone is welcome to attend on Friday, March 7, from 2 pm onwards.
Afternoon tea to follow the proceedings.
